Announcing . . .

You Don’t Need a “Title” to be a Leader!
November 11, 2009
Weber State University
utahDECA is pleased to announce a new opportunity to develop leaders in your chapter. Your Chapter Officers get their chance at Momentum (October 19-20). This year your Chapter members have an opportunity to participate in Power of LEADERSHIP, a hands-on, activity-based leadership activity for all utahDECA members (reminder: this is not for officers)
We have always offered great opportunities for our leaders, and now we want to do the same for those who are members; those who might show leadership potential; those who might grow into a leaders-whether as a DECA officer or otherwise. This is for those who don’t have a “title.”
Students will participate in activities such as Evolution, Meet Your Team, Teamwork Tower, Speak Up, Great Balls of Fire, Goal Setting, What’s the Big Idea, and the Great Barrier.

Your DECA members will learn about enthusiasm, getting out of your comfort zone, networking, creativity, vision, teamwork, management, “SMARTER” goals, generating ideas, building trust and dealing with diversity. Wouldn’t it be great if more of your members understood and were trained to take a leadership role—even if just for a project, class activity or sales activity!
